Not a whole lot has happened in Washington so far. We are settled in our apartment, Dan’s gone snowboarding a few times and I am looking for a job.
The weather has been awesome, and apparently above average temperatures for this winter. It’s stayed in the high 40’s to 50’s, but this week it’s gotten up to 60. There are even flowers starting to pop up and a few trees are budding. It does rain pretty often, but not constantly and we’ve been told that the worst happens during the winter months.
During one week I went up to Seattle to visit Malissa and Chris to help with wedding dress shopping. They also drove me around to a few places in Seattle and then over to Whidbey Island where they’re having their ceremony and reception. The area up there is gorgeous, and I can’t wait to go back with Dan.
This coming weekend we plan to go even farther north to Bellingham to visit Dan’s Aunt Lora and Uncle Jerry. Not sure what all we’re doing, but I’m bringing our passports in case we end up going up into Canada. We really wanted to try to get to some Olympic event, since that’s going on right now, but it’s so expensive. Might be worth just going to Vancouver to check out the Olympic Village though.
